School of Fine Art

3 departments, 40 students

This showcase reflects the resilience of fine art students in the light of the global issues we have all confronted and offers a wonderful insight into their artistic work. This digital platform follows and builds upon a series of physical events and exhibitions held over August 2021, some of which you will find documented here for a wider, more global audience.

The showcase represents the amazing work of our graduating students, enabling them to present their ideas, working practices and artwork. This is an opportunity to see the work that the students have produced during their time at The Glasgow School of Art and an important moment – a reflection upon, and testament to, the incredible work being made, its diverse and truly inspirational approaches to making and how art works.

The showcase profiles three cohorts of students from the School of Fine Art: the work of the graduating Master of Letters (M.Litt) students in the following programmes:

  • Art Writing
  • Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art)
  • Fine Art Practice

The Master of Letters in Fine Art Practice students work within six defined pathways, which include Painting, Print Media, Photography and the Moving Image, Sculpture, Performance as well as Drawing.

Everyone in the School of Fine Art would like to wish all of the graduating students the very best for their future.
