MDes Graphics/Illustration/Photography
10 students
The work in this showcase presents an exciting and engaging series of projects from this year’s international cohort of graduating students from the MDes 1 year programme. Providing a unique insight into the Department of Communication Design’s ethos in relation to the continually evolving disciplines of graphics, illustration and photography, the students have based their practice in both traditional and emergent fields.
The featured work addresses a diverse range of themes and issues which challenge and reflect our social, cultural, historical and political fabric with irreverence and wit, innovation and creativity, care and sincerity. With much of the work being produced through the prism of lockdown and under the shadow of a global pandemic their achievements are to be celebrated. Indeed, these graduates will enter an evolving professional environment equipped with problem-solving skills and reflective tools which will enable them to adapt with agility to a changing and challenging world.
