SKINLAND

SKINLAND

In the current Covid-19 pandemic, the physical space is greatly affected by the new coronavirus crisis. As physical contact between people decreases dramatically, there is an increase in ‘skin hunger’ for humans as herd animals. And touch, as a sensory modality that integrates ourselves into the experience of the world around us, is increasingly proving to be of primary importance.

It is therefore particularly important that spatial design improves the isolation of physical space and makes people aware of the importance of the tactile senses to our experience and understanding of the world.
