Origami Folds Printer
When making any Origami shape, the main folds of the shape must be folded first which are called the “Crease Pattern”-CP. Then the shaping and detailing folds of the shape come afterwards. And upon designing a new model, the designers obtain a crease pattern that they need to fold to be tested and altered to the desired form through several iterations. On a complex Origami level, it can be quite a hassle taking a long time folding and needs a high level of precision folding to the right angles and lengths. So, here is a device that indents the crease pattern for the user precisely and promptly so it’s ready to be collapsed to shape within a few minutes.
Introducing an opportunity within the vast Origami community globally facilitating the design of new models and shapes and encouraging intermediate Origami practitioners to go more into complex Origami and exploring more into the boundless world of Origami.

Foldable Bike Basket
The introduction project involved a lot of initial research and observation and having cycling a personal passion I decided to look further into the design problems regarding the cycling experience. After some filtering I decided to work on designing a bike basket while implementing the Origami concepts into it yielding in making a foldable bike basket. Went through several iterations solving issues of stiffness, form, spacing and others using two origami simulation softwares, I reached the final concept where the user won’t be facing any difficulties regarding spacing, mount/dismount or rain and contents fall off.
Foldable Bike Helmet
For the Human Factors course, we were asked to pick a product to be redesigned with respect to Human Factors. So, once again I chose a bike accessory to be redesigned, the bike helmet. Here we started a journey of research around the bike helmets, their designs, dimensions, components and materials. Looked into the anthropometric data of Human Heads and got feedback from regular cyclists of a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds. After collecting all the data and considering the design problems that face the users, I chose to deal with the storage and sizing problems the users face when arriving somewhere or when using them. Using Origami simulation as well and going through several iterations I reached the best fit concept for such design problem.
…and always choose cycling
This is a visual representation of an auto-ethnographic study, for the core research methods course, where I describe my cycling experience here in Scotland and consider my corresponding encounters on the other hand in Egypt. I tend to compare between the wide variety of factors that come across me through my daily cycling experiences; people interactions, errands, weather, culture and to bigger scopes like the economy and nation’s psychology.

ZBrush – Kubo and the Two Strings
Starting off a whole new software and learning the digital sculpting basics was an interesting challenge for me. Had to choose an Object to Sculpt for the final assessment. My Choice to this scene from “Kubo and the Two Strings” is rooted from my passion to Origami and simply the magical touch this movie adds to Origami. I already had this picture as my facebook cover photo and Laptop wallpaper. The serenity in this scene and everything about it is just mesmerising.
